New American Leader/Action Fund (NAL/AF)
Alumni+ Audit
I worked with New American Leaders and their Action Fund (NAL/AF) on a large‑scale audit of their network database, which tracks all individuals who have participated in their trainings and are part of their alumni community. As a member of the research team, I helped review, update, and verify records for more than 2,000 participants to improve the accuracy and usability of the organization’s data. My work focused on identifying inconsistencies, researching missing candidate information, and organizing updated details into a standardized format to support long‑term tracking and engagement. This project strengthened NAL’s alumni network's foundation and enhanced its ability to monitor program impact, while giving me hands‑on experience with structured data review, information verification, and collaborative research processes.
New American Candidates Database (NACD)
I am currently working with New American Leaders (NAL) on their New American Candidate Database (NACD), a national dataset that tracks first- and second-generation immigrant candidates running for positions from the local to the federal level. As part of the research team, I am helping update the database for the 2026 general election by reviewing existing records, identifying candidates who have announced campaigns, and verifying biographical and electoral information across multiple public sources. My work focuses on ensuring that each entry is accurate, complete, and standardized so the organization can reliably monitor representation trends and support candidates across the country. This project will further strengthen my experience in structured data review, information verification, and large‑scale political data management while contributing to NAL’s mission to expand immigrant political leadership.
